Inserting Images in Posts

Postby mlcswo » Thu Oct 09, 2008 8:51 am

To insert an image in a post, do the following:

1) You must have the image hosted on another website. Image hosting sites include Photobucket, Flickr, and Google's Picasa.

2) Copy the image location (URL) from the other website. Many photo-sharing sites like Photobucket actually provide this to you directly. If not, you can right click the image and click "Copy Image Location." The location should start with "http:" and end with ".jpg"

3) Paste the image location into your post.

4) Highlight the entire image location then click the "Img" button above the posting text area. This will wrap the location in the tag
Code: Select all
[img][/img]
.

For example, this code:
Code: Select all
[img]http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/smarthtml/pages/images/featured_product_03.jpg[/img]

will result in the following:
Image

5) Complete your post.

You can include multiple images by repeating the process.
Sincerely,

The MLCS Woodworking Family
