This self alignment tool easily squares the rounded corners left by rabbeting and hinge mortising router bits. Simply set against the corner and hit the spring plunger with a hammer, then pop out the chip with a chisel. Squares 4 corners in 30 seconds! The blade can be easily re-sharpened with a small file. Clean up from 1/2" mortising bits with #9541.

The cabinetmaker chisel is used on face and door frames for making deep mortises or cleaning out corners. Many carpenters, carvers, framers and furniture makers use this chisel for fine detailing work in moldings, setting depth for cabinet hardware installation, and veining. The 90°, precision machined, 9-1/2" overall length, 3/8" chisel is made of HSS and has a birch wood handle.
