2 flute, carbide tipped with totally enclosed 1/2" OD ball bearing guide. Use for cutting rabbets, tongue and groove joints and shiplap joints. Will also cut a 1/2" (H) slot.
Check out the very useful MLCS Corner Chisel. It's perfect for squaring off the rounded corners left by rabbeting and hinge mortising bits.

Just change the ball bearing guides to achieve different depths of cut! Kits includes a carbide tipped rabbeting bit with 1/2" carbide height (except #8671 which has 1" carbide height), four, seven or nine bearings, and a hex key. See the chart below for depths of cut, number of bearings, and additional depths of cut for each kit. The 9 Piece Kit includes a wood storage box.

I'm so happy with my purchased;this is a serious rabbeting set and so far well done.

When received, the bit was loose in the box. It had a small knick in the carbide but wasn't enough to affect the cutting or final finish on the wood. I set it up for 3/8" x 3/8" using the bearing selector chart on the top of the box, worked flawlessly.
I would have rated it 5 but the bit doesn't stay secure in the box.
