Shear Angle Straight Router Bits
- Reviews
The cutter angle slices smoothly
into stock!
NEW BITS! 2 flute, carbide tipped. The shear angle cutting flutes produces a smoother cut than traditional straight fluted bits. Instead of chopping at the wood fibers at a 90º angle, the shear angle design produces smoother shear angle, slicing cuts. Use this router bit to eliminate tear-out problems from routing end or cross grain on very hard woods.

Love this shear angle bit. I cuts hard walnut better than the straight bits and stays sharp longer. Highly recommend.

I needed a router bit that could cut to 1 1/2” but I have a small Bosch router that uses a 1/4” shanks. I’ve looked high and low where I am in NC to no avail. I started looking online and MLCS was either first or second on the google search. These guys were one of two places I found that have what I needed. I ordered the straight 1/4” shank with an 1 1/2” cutting length and it arrived in 4 days. I gotta tell you, I’m very pleased with the bit. I used it to cut through oak, walnut and poplar so far. I cut a round 48” table using oak and the bit never quit. I also expected it to begin dulling about the time I finished with the oak. Boy was I wrong!! It cut into walnut just as smooth as the oak. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a quality product to give MLCS a try for any of your woodworking needs.
Every time I use my router, I cut a 1/4” or less at a time and take your time. Let the bit cut and don’t force it. You can’t forget that or you’ll end up thinking it’s the product’s fault and not your own. Remember the basics and you can’t go wrong.
Thank you guys for your service.
