Made from solid phenolic material, known for its strength and stability. The top is solid phenolic "mineral resin" material, known for its strength, impact and wear resistance and stability in any shop environment.     I ordered the complete set after calling and getting assistance from one of the guys who advised me as I was coming from a basic tabletop set and could not be happier with the top.
    It's the same stuff as we use to use on our countertops and that means it's durable,"slippy" and is very thick. Your screws just grab it so you won't have to worry imho about them backing out. I am so happy I did not go with cast iron on this.P.S. the top is pre-drilled and tapped for the fence and the mounting on the stand saving you time so
    If you are wondering, yes it is good.
    The Aluminum router plate is true and solid but the leveling screws were tapped with an old bit filled with leftover leaving them too loose to hold in place even with either loctite blue or up to 6 wraps of teflon tape so I am very disgruntled about that as I will need to drill and tap to a larger size properly but will be contacting them so that they may have this corrected wherever they get these from. I work with these "metals" a lot so I know it's just quality control on the drilling tapping.

    Phenolic Router Table Tops and X1 Fence Combos

    The X1 fence is a significant upgrade to almost any router table!

    Standing 4" tall, this fence mounts to any table that is 1/2" to 1‑1/2" thick and from 24" to 32" wide. It is designed with a two track mounting system with adjustable rulers so you can set the fence to zero and make repetitive movements. The X1 "top mounted" ruler ensures that repetitive cuts or setting your stop block can be done with ease. The removable and fully adjustable fence faces are made of melamine coated heavy-duty MDF and fully edge banded for low friction and long life.

    Adjustments are made using locking knobs - no tools needed! The core of the X1 is anodized aluminum, with available t-slots to mount a stop block or almost any jig or accessory.

  • The X1 includes two 1/32" x 1/16" space bars, which offset the fence face, either 1/32" or 1/16". They're stored in the the fence for easy access when needed.
  • The X1 Dust Port is designed to accept a 2‑1/4" or 2‑1/2" vacuum hose
  • With very smooth action, repetitive movements, adjustable fence faces, open t‑track, rulers, 2 offset bars, dust collection and a safety guard, the X1 fence has it all!

    A very nice featured fence. Fits the phenolic table great, but will not work with the Power Lift Pro without alteration. The side fence guide needs a hole drilled in it to accommodate the height adjustment crank handle. I do not like to drill new stuff. The included manual is very spartan. Watch one of the uTube videos instead.

    This item was part of a set and although I am not a pro I know quality over what I had before and this is nice and a value when you look at the rails, slides, tape (measuring) , no need directions as it came with none as the website has a video on how to that takes you through it in around 10 minutes. This fence is far beyond what I had been using and comes with offset inserts and the last review may 15th states the fences should be stationary bolts/hmm why? You pit your offsets behind the fence and if they were stationary then well it just wouldn't work. They are built right.
    They slide steady and true, are rock solid.
    Mine was missing one screw for mounting to the table and had 1 extra too small and that is not fun but not a deal breaker by any means as to be fair I am sure they would have sent me one but I had one and could have used it anyhow and never known. I am a hobby guy and know quality over what I find in stores near me and this is it. I am excited about the hobby again and my wife want's me to build our next kitchen as she likes my stuff better and that was with a $70 table and a cheap router. Great product

    The fence I received had an Eagle America label on it. Says nothing about MCLS or X1 fence, There is not one location I've found in your literature, that says it is an Eagle America Fence MADE in CHINA. What Gives?
    I knew something was up based on the packaging that disintegrated during shipping. The faces are a pain to move. The through hex bolts should be stationary and could be easily made that way by adding a nut with an integral lock washer to the kit. The assembly instructions are typically Chinese written and translated. The photos appear to have been copied on a 29 cent copier. A person pays $200 for this fence, the assembly manual could be at least readable.

    Well done. The two sub faces aligned perfectly with each other right out of the box. The sub faces are exactly perpendicular to my router table. The unit is robust and should stay put without flexing when work pieces are processed. This is not a wimpy fence. A nice T-handle-like allen wrench is provided to tighten the sub faces. I just wish the manufacturer would have provided a hole, slot, or hook of some sort to store the wrench. I am just being picky now.

    The fence is quite well made with a number of nice features. The only problem I have is the Instruction Manual--one of the worst I have seen. The pictures are too small and not broad enough to get a good picture of the assembly. Look at the pictures on your web site Instruction Manual--much clearer and easier to understand.
