Zero Clearance Table Inserts
- Reviews
The large gap between factory stock inserts and your blade allows thin cutoffs and parts to fall into the saw, creating a potential hazard. Our insert closes this gap, and can even improve dust collection! Set screws included. List price $29.95.

These MLCS UHMW inserts DO fit my late '70's Craftsman 113 saw, and they're very affordable. (The 'blue' brand's phenolic inserts do NOT fit the 14-3/8" insert opening - they're only 14" long.) I'm buying two more. Tip: The adjusting screws arrive pretty loose - blue loctite lets you avoid frequent adjustment! There was a little (1/32") F/B and L/R play, but I got rid of that by threading in five #8 x 1/2" socket head setscrews (no need to tap, just use the tap drill). Four at the ends of the straight sides and one in the front end, drilled horizontally just below the top flange. Now both of my inserts (std & thin kerf) slip in easily with ZERO play. I used a 3/4" Forstner fit to drill a finger hole in the front end. I don't have a small-radius saw blade, but the UHMW material is soft enough that I was able to patiently hand-pull the lower part of the belt to hand cut the slot deep enough to fully seat the insert in the saw, before following normal practice.

With a little fiddling, my insert fits great. Needed a smaller radius blade to get the slot started then switched to a 10 inch narrow kerf blade to complete the cut. I needed to file away a small bit of metal where the positioning wire fits under the saw top.

I have been using your zero clearance inserts on my DeWalt table saw. The inserts fit well and lock in place, which I like. The four point leveling feature which makes leveling a snap. Can't bet the price either.

Does not fit the old Chraftman aluminum tabled saws, the one with the square back on the insert.
