Fair unit for the price (4/5), Aug 19, 2021

By Bob Fenske (Fairton NJ US)

Seems pretty good but a couple points I wasn't crazy about. I had a really hard time at first with it loosening bits up and ruining whatever I was working on. Now I crank that puppy super tight beyond anything I think is reasonable but it holds now. The other thing is the safety on off switch vs the shaft lock. If your table mounted and using a duel remote switch as I think most users do, you have issues with not being able to use the shaft lock unless you dig under the table and switch the router off. Triton claims this is for safety but it's really redundant silliness. You can get around it but voids the warranty. I've used routers in tables for 30+ years and never had to deal with that. But otherwise, it does have some power and gets the job done.
